Ok, we've all heard the ads about getting paid to go to our favorite restaurants, etc., but if you've ever called the number, you usually get a company that wants you to pay to get started, right?! How frustrating is that? I mean, the whole point of getting a job is that YOU are supposed to get paid... not them!!!

I've been working @ home for about ten years now, and I'll tell you... I won't even give a company a second look if they're wanting to charge me... even a small amount!

The good news is, in all these years, I've spent many, many, many hours researching, and found out that there are so many companies that are legitimate, that really do need people to work for them... and aren't gonna charge you for it!

As far as mystery shopping... I haven't done a lot of it... I prefer working AT home, but that's just me. I have become online friends with many people who have LOVED mystery shopping. It's a great deal, if you can find job listings in your city, so you don't have to drive far to do them. I wouldn't count on it for a full time income, unless maybe you're in a huge city, where, of course, there's always more opportunities... but it can definitely be a nice supplement.

Anyway... for mystery shopping companies (the legit ones), advice from those who do it on a regular basis, and even job postings... all completely free... the one site I would recommend is Volition.com . They've been around for years, and are a very trustworthy site. First, they have their regular site, where you can find links to all the companies, etc., but maybe more importantly, they also have a forum, where you can discuss with, and learn from, those who are regular mystery shoppers. And, again, in the forum, is where you can find a lot of companies will post some of their upcoming jobs that they are really needing to fill. I repeat, this is all free! :)

There is also a link on the left side of the page to their forums. You don't have to register to the forums to read everything on there, but I would advise it, so that you can post and ask any questions you may have. HEA Hiring Home Based Workers






HEA hires all year round for a variety of positions. We have a growing business and in constant of new employees. All of our employees are allowed to work entirely from home on their computers. Not only do we provide customers with work at home jobs, we also offer them. Applicants hired will be independent contractors for the first year and become full-time employees with health and other benefits after one year. Independent Contractors will need to complete an Independent Contractor Agreement Form, a W-2 Tax Form, a W-9 Tax Form and a 1099 MISC Tax Form. Any applicant that is considered for a position, will be contacted by email or phone within 2 weeks of their resume submission. We will provide and request additional information at that time.

The hiring process works on a first come first hired basis. This basically means that once you submit a resume, it is placed in a resume database in the order that you applied. If you are the 35th person to apply for the job, your resume will be placed in the 35th position in the database. When resumesare removed, the other resumes are then moved up. We are constantly in need of employees because of the high turn over rate which means that we could end up hiring up to 50 workers in one year. Many people who apply for work at home jobs realize that there are most likely hundreds of other applicants vying for the same position. Whenever an applicant is removed from our database or dismissed from a job, the next resume is immediately moved up which means someone who is in 294th position, can be in the 8th position by the end of the year. We wanted to explain our hiring process so applicants are not discouraged from applying for the jobs available.

The positions can be performed entirely from home. There are no location requirements, you can work in any city, state or country. These are temporary and part-time (10 to 15 hours a week). If your work is satisfactory, the position will become permanent and full-time (30 hours or more a week). You can work any day or hour of the day. Experience is preferred, but not required. Training will be provided. You will need a home computer, a printer, text editing and spreadsheet software (MS Office is preferred), a reliable email address and a reliable Internet connection (a high speed connection is preferred).     Occupational Highway






    Even though I already have their link on the sidebar :), I still hafta give props to Occupational Highway!     ANYWAY... I know this post is supposed to be about Occupational Highway, and it is, but figured it was a good chance to give you some background on ME at the same time! lol

    I wish, at the time, I had found a site like Occupational Highway! Over the years, I have managed to survive, doing jobs here and there online, and kept researching, but never found a site as comprehensive as Occupational Highway. It would've made my life a lot easier! lol

    TDEC is searching for experienced, detail oriented seasonal data entry/data verifiers working off-site as an independent contractor. Ideal candidates will operate data entry device using specific software to key/verify data provided via image.

    Requirements:

    • An Independent Contractor is someone that owns their own business, not an employee of TDEC
    • Independent Contractors will be paid by the piece or hourly depending on the pricing agreement for each project.
    • TDEC will NOT hold any taxes from Independent contractors invoice payments. Independent Contractors are responsible for paying their taxes.

    Description As a Customer Service Representative you handle inbound calls from stores and customers regarding all facets of their Credit Card Account. You will also resolve credit inquiries on new accounts and authorize sales on existing accounts. You will have to demonstrate proficiency in multi-functional work processes and have knowledge of all departments and branches including: Collections, Risk/Authorizations and payment processing centers. While in the position, you will make use of problem solving/decision making skills to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction. In addition, you will maintain and improve customer/client relations while utilizing a PC, telephone and calculator. You will be responsible for the continuous maintenance of customer profiles via PC, as a result of written or verbal requests from customers. Other duties will be performed as assigned.
    This is a PART-TIME position, working 20 hours or less a week.
